The exhaust turbocharger consists of a turbine and a compressor. The exhaust discharged from the engine is introduced into the turbine, and the energy contained in the exhaust gas is used to drive the turbine wheel to rotate and drive the compressor wheel installed coaxially with it to work. The fresh air enters the cylinder after being pressurized in the compressor. The exhaust turbocharger has no mechanical connection with the internal combustion engine, and has a simple structure and reliable operation.
Maintenance tips
Before the engine lubricating oil pressure builds up, the engine must be kept at idle speed so that the turbocharger is fully lubricated.
Lubricate the turbocharger in advance. Carry out pre-lubrication after maintenance.
Before stopping the engine, make its temperature and speed gradually drop from the maximum value. Prevent the formation of carbon deposits in the turbocharger bearing or intermediate shell.
Avoid prolonged idling that will reduce compressor efficiency.
