On April 14, Shandong Heavy Industry Group held its economic performance analysis meeting for the first quarter of 2025. In the just-concluded quarter, the Group lived up to expectations, achieving dual growth in both revenue and profit, with profit increasing at a higher rate than revenue. Its operational efficiency outperformed industry standards, and its profitability remained the highest among provincial state-owned enterprises, marking a strong start to the year.

On April 15, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and China Logistics Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan. Liu Jingzhen, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Logistics, and Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry, held a meeting and jointly witnessed the signing ceremony.

China’s first offshore hydrogen–ammonia–methanol integrated project, located in Yantai, Shandong Province, was recently completed and has officially entered the commissioning phase. This milestone marks a foundational step toward verifying the full process of offshore hydrogen production and sets the stage for the project’s operational launch.

On April 14, Shandong Heavy Industry Group convened its Q1 2025 Economic Performance Review Conference in Jinan, to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, and the "Two Sessions", as well as to fully align with the strategic decisions of the provincial Party committee and government. The meeting summarized and analyzed the Group’s first-quarter economic performance, assessed the current internal and external environment, and strategically planned for the second quarter to further advance the Group’s high-quality development. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, delivered a keynote address. Wang Zhijian, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, reported on the Group’s operational performance, while Ye Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary and Director, presided over the meeting.

On April 11, the Weichai Marine Power New Energy Product Exchange Conference and Project Signing Ceremony was held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, under the theme "Advancing National Strategy, Driving Green Shipping Development." At the event, Weichai showcased its WH20 micro-pilot ignition gas engine and 6WH17 methanol marine engine, drawing significant attention from industry guests and securing multiple bulk order intentions.

On April 10, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and the People’s Government of Xinxiang City, Henan Province signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Wei Jianping, Mayor of Xinxiang, attended the discussion session and witnessed the signing ceremony.

In recent days, Shandong Heavy Industry Weichai has made a strong impression at major international exhibitions such as cippe2025 China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition in Beijing and Singapore Maritime Week (SMW), showcasing a wide array of core products.

At 9:16 a.m. on April 10, Train K8281 departed from Jinan Station, marking the official launch of the “Hospitable Shandong • Qilu No. 1” tourism train, the first of its kind to be named by Shandong Heavy Industry Group.

From April 7 to 8, Wang Zhijian, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, went to Weifang to investigate the ownership enterprises such as Lovol Smart Agriculture, Shengrui Transmission, Weichai Power, etc., to learn more about the production and operation, product quality, market sales, scientific and technological innovation, and hold a special meeting to hear the reports on the economic operation in the first quarter. He also went to the party branch of the assembly line of Weichai Power No. 1 factory at the grassroots party building contact point to discuss and exchange.

On April 7-9, The MEE2025 took place in Dubai, UAE. Weichai Baudouin’s Safety series of high-end power generation power impressed the audience. The 6M31 diesel generator set and 20M61 diesel land-based generator set were released on site, which attracted the attention of global customers.
