Exploring Weishan Lake in a quieter way

One is greeted by lotus fragrance stretching for miles and the expansive beauty of the lake.
Recently, two sightseeing boats, "Heyun 001" and "Heyun 002," powered by Weichai's pure electric power systems, completed their sea trials in Weishan Lake, Jining. This provides a new zero-carbon model for the eco-tourism upgrade of the "Green Weishan Lake" and will bring new tourism experiences to visitors in the lake area.
Weichai's tailor-made electric propulsion system for the vessels consists of five core units: a DC power distribution system, a drive system, a power battery pack, a charging system, and an AC power distribution system. It achieves autonomous control across the entire chain from "power source to distribution, propulsion, and load." With its zero-emission, low-noise, and high-comfort pure electric power solution, the system satisfies the requirements for official receptions, business negotiations, and sightseeing, while perfectly adapting to the environmental protection standards of the Weishan Lake Ecological Protection Area.
Battery system: Equipped with Weichai's 10.62 kWh blade battery packs, it offers industry-leading safety, reliability, and energy density. The total battery capacity of the entire vessel reaches 403.56 kWh, acting as the sole power source connected to the DC power grid to supply the entire ship;
Power distribution system: A DC/AC dual power distribution architecture provides stable power for the propulsion system and onboard equipment respectively, with a modular design that facilitates maintenance;
Propulsion system: Utilizing 110 kW electric outboard motors, it provides smooth power output, perfectly matching the operating needs of low-speed cruising and berthing maneuvering in the lake area.
The delivery of this project marks another important breakthrough for Weichai in the field of pure electric vessels in lake areas, providing a replicable system solution for the subsequent electrification retrofit of similar vessels. Looking ahead, Weichai will continue to deepen its expertise in green marine power technology, providing efficient and reliable support for the electrification transition of vessels in more water regions.
