On May 28, Wang Zhijian presided over a business meeting of KION Group to study and schedule further deepening the all-round business synergy between Weichai and KION. He stressed that China has a mature new energy industry chain, and KION should strengthen cooperation with Weichai Group on new energy powertrain systems, make early plans, transform quickly and seize the development opportunities of the global new energy industry.

In the morning of May 29, Wang Zhijian presided over a meeting to analyze the operation of European subsidiaries in the first half of the year and listened in detail to the work reports of executives from Weichai Luxembourg, German Hydraulic Transmission, French Baudouin, German Oudesi and Austrian Weidis. He stressed that all European subsidiaries achieved good business results in the first half of the year. In the face of the complex and severe challenges of the global economic environment, in the second half of the year, they need to do a better job in risk analysis, improve resilience, make early judgments on the market situation and make product reserves to ensure long-term sustainable and healthy development.

In the afternoon of May 29, Wang Zhijian presided over a business coordination meeting of European subsidiaries and listened to reports on the progress of the coordination work between European subsidiaries and the group's domestic business and the construction of the European supply chain. He said that there is a broad space for coordination within the group, and efforts should be made to coordinate internal procurement coordination, R&D coordination and market coordination, and leverage the advantages of the large group to enhance overall competitiveness.

Weichai Power European Technology Innovation Center, located in Aachen, focuses on the research of cutting-edge technologies in hydraulic power systems. On May 30, Wang Zhijian visited the innovation center, inspected the electronic control simulation test bench, and listened in detail to the cutting-edge technological innovations and the collaborative research and development with the headquarters. He stressed that Weichai's European Science and Technology Innovation Center should leverage its technological advantages, strengthen its functional positioning and expand its business areas to provide technical guidance and collaborative research and development services for the group's affiliated enterprises.

On May 30, Wang Zhijian visited the German company FEV, inspected the new energy and fuel cell laboratory, and had in-depth exchanges with Dr. Pisinger, chairman of FEV, and technical experts. The two sides made it clear that they will further enhance cooperation in areas such as pickup trucks, vans, large-bore engines, gas engines for heavy trucks, and new energy test chambers.

On June 2, Wang Zhijian visited AVL Austria, inspected AVL's newly invested new energy laboratory and held a discussion with AVL's Chief operating officer Lucas Walter. The two sides made it clear that they would continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation in areas such as virtual simulation of commercial vehicles and forward design of new energy powertrains.
