Cao Jiqiang, member of the Standing Committee and secretary-general of the Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Committee of Qinghai Province, was invited to attend.
At the event, the key activities of Shandong Province for the National Science and Technology Workers' Day in 2025 were announced, awards were presented for outstanding works on the theme of the spirit of scientists, appointment letters were given to representatives of the selected members of the Shandong Province Scientists' Spirit Report Group in 2025, and the Shandong Association for Science and Technology Party School signed an agreement with the Qinghai Atomic City Memorial Hall to jointly build a "Red Leadership" learning and education base of the Shandong Association for Science and Technology Party School. The representative of Sinotruk Group's science and technology workers read out the initiative for serving scientific and technological innovation, calling on the vast number of science and technology workers to take the lead in achieving self-reliance and self-strengthening in science and technology and contribute to the construction of a strong science and technology province.
At the main event, the China Atomic City "Two Bombs and One Satellite Scientists" spirit Promotion Team gave a keynote speech. The lecture, with the theme of carrying forward the red genes of Atomic City and promoting the spirit of the two Bombs and One Satellite Scientists, told the inspiring stories that occurred during the development of the two bombs from different perspectives and angles, and deepened the strategic significance of inheriting and innovating the spirit of the Two Bombs and one satellite in the new era.
The "Two Bombs and One Satellite" spirit shines forever - Historical Photo Exhibition of China's Atomic City was set up at the event. The exhibition, jointly organized by the provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the CPC Haibei Prefectural Committee, and the Qinghai Atomic City Memorial Hall, showcases over a hundred precious historical pictures, presenting the entire process of the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" cause from difficult decisions to great success, allowing the public to draw strength from the patriotic dedication and unity in the glorious history of the "Two Bombs and One Satellite".
May 30 marks the ninth National Science and Technology Workers' Day, with the theme of "Committed to Innovation and Development to Build a Strong Country in Science and Technology". During the event, the whole province worked together both online and offline to organize a series of activities to promote the spirit of scientists, including lectures and exhibitions, plays and performances, and concentrated publicity, as well as a series of activities to do practical things for science and technology workers, such as study on national conditions, academic exchanges, suggestions and strategies, and science and technology competitions, to convey the care and concern of the Party and the government to science and technology workers.
