On February 1, coinciding with the fourth day of the Chinese New Year, Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, embarked on a comprehensive visit to Asiastar Bus and Yangzhou Diesel Engine in Yangzhou City. These entities, affiliated with the Group, have commenced production, and Man took the opportunity to meet and extend his regards to the frontline workers. Accompanying him on this visit were Zhang Li, a standing member of the CPC Yangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, as well as Ma Changhai, a member of the Group’s Party Committee and Deputy General Manager.
At Asiastar Bus, Man Shengang meticulously reviewed the status of global market orders for buses and examined the investment and construction progress of the generator set power station soundproof enclosure project. He also attended the ceremony marking the rollout of the first soundproof enclosure product. With the rapid expansion of global data center operations, there has been an explosive demand for generator sets used as backup power sources. Soundproof enclosures are critical components of these stations, and Asiastar Bus has made significant investments to establish a high-standard production facility for these enclosures, successfully trial-producing products that lead the industry.
Man Shengang remarked that Asiastar Bus has shown continuous positive strides in its business management. Building upon the robust growth of global bus orders, it has swiftly integrated the new business of generator set soundproof enclosures, effectively expanding the company’s avenues for transformational development. He emphasized that Asiastar Bus should leverage the resource advantages of Shandong Heavy Industry to enhance comprehensive business synergy across products, markets, and supply chains. By doing so, the company can proactively take the helm in creating a positive growth cycle and hasten its transition into a new phase of stable and healthy development. He advocated for a balance between “strict management” and “genuine care,” calling for a rapid elevation in the institutional, scientific, standardized, and systemic levels of internal management. At the same time, he underscored the importance of sincerely caring for employees, significantly improving their skills, respecting their pioneering spirit, safeguarding their legal rights, and continuously enhancing talent attraction to unleash the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of all employees.
Following this, Man Shengang visited the No. 1 and No. 2 Engine Plants of Yangzhou Diesel Engine. Currently, Yangchai is experiencing a surge in orders from sectors such as agricultural equipment and light trucks, resulting in full-capacity production. During his cordial interaction with the frontline workers, Man Shengang commended their efforts, stating, “Happiness is achieved through hard work. Your dedication and overtime efforts to meet high production and delivery targets exemplify the motto ‘Customer satisfaction is our goal,’ making a significant contribution to the group’s successful start of the first quarter. My sincere gratitude to you all!” He urged Yangzhou Diesel Engine to continually reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve efficiency while reinforcing lean management to ensure product quality, thereby solidifying its leading position in the industry.
