Outpacing the Industry in 2024 and Launching a Flurry of New Products, Weichai Non-Road and Marine Power Sets its Course for 2025!

2024-12-06

On December 6, Weichai held its Non-Road Power and Marine Power sessions of the 2025 Global Partners Conference in Weifang. Weichai and its partners convened to discuss growth strategies and unveil a series of cutting-edge new products and technologies.

Full-Series Hydraulic Powertrains and Full-Series Hybrid Solutions

A Wave of New Non-Road Power Products Released by Weichai

In 2024, Weichai’s non-road power business maintained solid sales growth, outperforming the industry. Market share for both construction machinery and agricultural equipment engines continued to rise, reinforcing Weichai’s top position in the industry. High-power, 15L+ premium non-road engines also steadily replaced imported brands.

At the Non-Road Power session, Weichai intensively introduced new offerings including the WP3.6N hydraulic powertrain, a full range of hybrid power products, and an entire lineup of low-speed hydraulic powertrains for harvesting machinery. These new products deliver enhanced efficiency, greener performance, greater intelligence, and improved operator comfort.

WP3.6N Hydraulic Powertrain: Featuring an advanced four-valve design, the WP3.6N ensures excellent load resistance and robust power output. Its engine design supports a maximum tilt angle of 35° and multiple PTO (Power Take-Off) configurations, significantly enhancing adaptability.

Full-Series Hybrid Power Products: These seamlessly blend advanced diesel engine technologies with highly efficient electric drives. They employ efficient combustion zoning, low-resistance air systems, and friction-reducing technologies to cut fuel consumption while offering flexible and economical fuel options. Such solutions accelerate the green transformation of mining truck power.

Full-Series Low-Speed Hydraulic Powertrains for Harvesters: Tailored to meet the operational needs of major staple crops and a variety of cash crops, these powertrains are deeply customized and optimized for different harvesting conditions. They deliver high efficiency and stable operation in complex scenarios, helping customers boost yields and efficiency.

Ultra-Strong, Ultra-Reliable, Electric-Powered Future

Weichai Launches Full-Series New Energy Power Batteries for Construction Machinery

At the event, Weichai also unveiled its full range of new energy power battery products for construction machinery, covering markets for loaders, excavators, and mining trucks. Offering superior safety, ultra-long lifespan, high integration, rapid startup, and ultra-low energy consumption, these batteries provide diverse, low-carbon, and efficient new energy solutions, driving transformative changes in the industry.

Robust Reliability for Harsh Conditions: Purpose-built for the harsh conditions and challenging environments of construction machinery, these products have undergone more than 50 system-level tests and over 300,000 hours of vehicle reliability trials, supported by extreme “Three High” tests (high altitude, high temperature, high humidity).

Fast Charging for Maximum Uptime and Profitability: Capable of charging at -20℃, the battery can go from 20% to 80% in just 23 minutes, supporting 400A ultra-fast charging and maximizing the blade battery’s full potential.

Extended Lifespan for Worry-Free Ownership: With up to 4,500 cycles of system life, the battery addresses customer concerns about total lifecycle durability. Long-life technology also enhances the residual value of used equipment.

Weichai Marine Power Makes Further Inroads into High-End Markets

Outperforming the Industry in 2024, Focusing on Transformation in 2025

Green and high-end solutions define today’s marine power market. On display at the Marine Power session were high-end marine power products such as the 6M21, 8M21, 16WH17, and 6WH17 methanol engines, as well as the WH20 micro-pilot gas engine, all leaving a strong impression on attendees.

In 2024, Weichai’s WH series and M series marine products steadily increased market share, while making significant breakthroughs in high-end strategic markets. Sales and market penetration of medium-speed engines advanced robustly.

In 2025, Weichai will focus on customer needs, solidifying its presence in traditional inland river and fishing vessel markets while expanding into strategic segments such as coastal cargo ships, tugboats, offshore wind installation vessels, and ocean-going merchant vessels. Concentrating on medium- and high-speed, high-power engines; heavy-fuel auxiliary engines; alternative fuels; and marine battery products, Weichai will provide comprehensive, full-range marine power solutions and lifecycle services. These efforts will help reduce energy consumption and emissions, promoting greener, more sustainable shipping worldwide.
