On the afternoon of September 29th, the Final of Weichai First International Language Grand Prix (Individual) themed on "Voice of Youth, Unique in Language” concluded successfully. Ye Jianjun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and director of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, attended the final and delivered a speech. Ma Changhai, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, also secretary of the Party Committee, chairman and general manager of Weichai Group, and Wang Decheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Weichai Group, also secretary of the Party Committee and CEO of Weichai Power, presented awards to the winners.
After getting through preliminary and intermediary rounds, 8 contestants stood out from more than 900 young employees, qualifying for the final.
At the competition site, the contestants first presented a dubbing show of classic foreign film clips, and their wonderful performances made the audiences feel as if they were on the scene. Subsequently, exciting competition links such as "Let Me Take You Around the World", question-and-answer PK "You Are the Right Choice", and 4V4 debate competition "Battle of Wits" were staged. All the contestants kept calm and cool-headed. They made full use of what they had learned in daily life and presented wonderful duels with fluent language, meticulous analysis and clear thinking, winning applause from the audience many times.
Aside from diverse forms of English competition, this grand prix (GP) also set “Lecturing around the Machine” link in seven languages such as German, Spanish, Korean and Russian, bringing an auditory feast to the audience and also enabling everyone to learn Weichai's product knowledge more intuitively. The scores were announced on the spot at this final, and Ma Changhai and Wang Decheng stepped onto the stage to present awards to the winners.
Ye Jianjun noted that through Weichai First International Language Grand Prix, he felt the vitality, talent and innovation of Weichai people on the spot.
