From September 6 to 12, Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited subsidiaries including Linde Hydraulics, Kion, Baudouin, and Ferretti in Germany and France. During his visit, he met with senior management teams, listened to reports on business performance, product development, market expansion, and business collaboration. He also held in-depth discussions with Stefan Hartung, Chairman of the Board of Bosch, and Christian Levin, CEO of TRATON Group. Weifang Party Secretary Liu Yun attended related events with Kion.
Man Shengang's visit began with a tour of Linde Hydraulics' new factory and Kion Group's Linde Material Handling Experience Center in Germany, where he reviewed the progress of high-end hydraulics and intelligent logistics operations. At Kion Group, he met with the executive team and attended the signing ceremony for cooperation agreements between Kion, Linglong Tire, and Chenming Group. He also presided over the unveiling of China National Heavy Duty Truck's (SINOTRUK) European R&D Center.
While in France, Man visited Baudouin and the Cannes Yachting Festival, where he held discussions with the management teams of Baudouin and Ferretti, focusing on the progress of large-bore high-end engines and yacht businesses. He conducted a comprehensive review of Baudouin's high-speed marine power system solutions, premium silent generators, and Ferretti’s latest yacht models on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Man also participated in the sea trials of a newly launched yacht from Ferretti.
During his research, Man also chaired a meeting with Chinese representatives from Shandong Heavy Industry’s European subsidiaries. Attendees included executives from Kion, Linde Hydraulics, Aradex, and Austria-based VDS, as well as overseas R&D institutions such as Weichai's Hydraulic Transmission Innovation Center and Intelligent Agriculture Innovation Center. Trade platforms like Shantui Belgium and Zhongtong Germany also presented their work reports. Man provided strategic guidance on further strengthening, improving, and expanding Shandong Heavy Industry’s European operations.
Man emphasized that developing European operations is a crucial pillar of Shandong Heavy Industry’s globalization strategy and an essential step towards becoming a world-class enterprise. He highlighted that the group has established a “three-in-one” layout in Europe, integrating overseas industries, technological innovation, and product exports. With a strong business scale, advanced technology, powerful brands, and positive development momentum, Shandong Heavy Industry has become a model of successful China-Europe cooperation, gaining high recognition from local governments and communities.
Man reiterated that Shandong Heavy Industry will spare no effort to promote the high-quality development of its European operations, further leveraging the complementary strengths of both sides in terms of industry, technology, and branding. During his stay in Germany, Man visited Shandong Heavy Industry's global strategic partners Bosch and TRATON Group. He held in-depth discussions on strengthening collaboration across the complete vehicle, power systems, new energy, and intelligent connectivity sectors, reaching a broad consensus. SINOTRUK also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Bosch.
Ma Changhai, member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, as well as Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Weichai Group, accompanied Man on this trip, along with key executives from the group’s European subsidiaries.
