Recently, the National Intellectual Property Office announced the decision on the 24th China Patent Award, Weichai Power’s "A diesel fuel injection control method and the application of the control method of electronic control diesel engine" won the China Patent Award gold medal.
The patent is the first to propose a diesel injection control method, and is widely used in Weichai series of electronic control diesel engines, significantly improving the brake thermal efficiency of diesel engines. The diesel engine brake thermal efficiency index of the application of the patented technology is leading in the world, and has created significant economic benefits, which is of great significance for realizing the carbon goals, ensuring national energy security, and promoting the construction of ecological civilization.
Jointly sponsored by the National Intellectual Property Office of China and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the China Patent Award is the only government award in China that specifically rewards patents-granted inventions and creations, and is also the highest honor in the field of patents in China.
