On June 9, 2023, Tan Xuguang visited Qingdao to conduct research on the construction progress of Weichai (Qingdao) Marine Equipment Manufacturing Center and Weichai (Qingdao) Intelligent Heavy Industry Smart Manufacturing Center projects, as well as the export situation of Sinotruk Qingdao Heavy Industry special purpose vehicles.
In the morning, Tan Xuguang conducted scheduling at the Weichai (Qingdao) Marine Equipment Manufacturing Center and Weichai (Qingdao) Intelligent Heavy Industry Smart Manufacturing Center projects sites. He said that the Group's new project construction in Qingdao needs to be rapidly promoted and accelerated to ensure that the two major projects can be completed and put into operation with high quality in November this year, creating a world-class new industrial base for high-end equipment, and adding new momentum to the construction of a power province in advanced manufacturing.
In the afternoon, Tan Xuguang went to Sinotruk Qingdao Heavy Industry Company for research and gave affirmation to the products and market performance of exported special purpose vehicles. He said that Qingdao Heavy Industry should continue to increase investment in product upgrading and production process improvement, develop characteristic products that adapt to the international market, and build a globally-oriented export base for special purpose vehicles, providing important support for Sinotruk to expand its product portfolio and establish a global brand.
